Your habits decide whether you will be successful or not. If you are willing to overcome your bad habits then you can get whatever you want in your life.

 

In this article, I am going to tell you about the 4 bad habits that prevent you from being successful in life and I will also tell you how to overcome those bad habits.

1. Laziness:

Do you love to procrastinate? Do you sleep a lot and lay idle on your sofa for most of your day. Do you waste your precious time thinking that time is a useless commodity? Do you have a lot of work on your hands but your habit of laziness is preventing you from completing your work. Have you started a new work, but due to laziness, you quit it in between?

If all this happens with you then you are one of the many people who are suffering from the deadly habit: ‘laziness’.

If you want to be successful in life then first of all, quit your habit of laziness. It is very difficult to get rid of your laziness unless you force yourself to take action. Laziness is a grave problem and it can be the key hindrance in your success, if you do not take solid actions to overcome it.

2. Porn Addiction:

Porn and masturbation lead to utter time and energy wastage, and it also imputes your soul and mind. You can invest this time and energy in many other productive activities. Porn websites make money in billions by destroying your career and life. Porn addiction not only kills your time but it also kills your drive and motivation. It distracts you from your goals and ultimately it takes you away from your success, it is up to you to decide whether you want to quit porn or quit your dreams.

3. Social media Addiction:

In a single day, this is the number of times an average person checks the following applications whether it be on their phone, tablet, or laptop:

  • Facebook: 9
  • LinkedIn: 5
  • Whatsapp: 20
  • Instagram: 4
  • Total social media interactions: 38

Also, an average person spends 5 minutes everytime he/she checks one of these social media platforms:

Now let’s do some math-

Total time spend on social media sites by an average person

= 38 x 5 minutes per day

= 190 minutes per day

= 3.167 hours per day

=1156 hours every year

=48 days every year

This calculation shows how much of your precious time and energy you are wasting on social media. You waste your time checking silly messages, videos and pictures of hot girls. If you are addicted to porn then these images only add fuel to the fire. You waste a lot of your precious time on social media which is a significant threat to your success. Just imagine how much you could have learned if you would have put these 48 days doing something productive.

4. Regret:

Never do something that will make you regret in the future and never let your ‘Fear of failure’ stop you from trying because mistakes and failures will give you experiences and bad people will give you lessons, the point is that there is always something that you can learn from your mistakes or failures. Some people don’t take risks in life, and then they regret later. Remember, on your death bed you will not regret the things that you have done wrong but the things that you have not done because of your fear of failure. 

I don’t know who you are but I  know one thing that you have a dream inside you and you have the potential to fulfill your dream but you are scared to go for your dream because of your fear of failure. I just want to say that death is a bitter truth of lifeOne day all of us have to die. You have to decide whether you want to die with regrets or achievements, the choice is yours.

So stop regretting about the things that went wrong, take risks in life, work hard for what you want, and make things right.
