Life lessons we can learn from the movie ‘Raid’

Recently I watched the movie ‘RAID’. The movie was very well scripted. Ajay Devgn (an income tax officer) was in the male lead role. Ileana D’Cruz (Ajay Devgn’s wife) was in the female lead role.

Watch the trailer of the movie:

In this post, I am going to tell you about the life lessons we can learn from the movie ‘RAID’:

1. Be Honest:

Money is only a number and just as counting never ends so does the greed for money. You can earn a lot of money from your knowledge, skills and hard work but if you want to earn respect and a place in the hearts of people then you need to practice honesty. In the movie, every minister, businessman is afraid of Ajay Devgn because they know Ajay is a man of value not of price. It is because of his honesty and dedication that even the Prime Minister values him over his party members. On your last day, nobody will care about your property or your bank balance; the only things people will remember are your morals and the difference you have created in their life. In life, whatever you do; whether it is business, job or national duty, be honest and ethical and this is the real secret to a happy life.

No legacy is so rich as honesty.
– William Shakespeare

2. Always have an open eye on your surroundings:

In the movie, Tauji was one of the most powerful men in his city. He had a vast amount of wealth, power and networks with the CM, FM and the Prime minister of the country. In spite of being so powerful and rich, he had to kneel down in front of a normal income tax inspector. There was someone in Tauji’s family who was not happy with him. His own brothers stole money from Tauji and hid it behind the walls of their house. One of his own family members reported to the Income-tax officer about the black money Tauji was hiding and gave him a map that helped him track the money. Someone has rightly said, A small leak will sink a great ship (Ghar Ka Bhedi Lanka Dhaaye). Without the help of that ‘BHEDI’, Ajay Devgn could never have located the black money in Tauji’s house.

The world is not the problem; the problem is your unawareness.
– Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

3. If you want to be a leader then act like one:

Ajay Devgn raids Tauji’s house with his team. Ajay’s team was very scared as they all knew the power and networks of Tauji but Ajay assured his team of their safety. After many unsuccessful attempts in locating the black money, his team was losing hope but Ajay kept motivating his team. In the end, when Ajay and his team finally located the black money and were ready to leave Tauji’s house with the raided money (400 crore Rs.), Tauji called up 1000 people to kill Ajay and his team. Ajay found a way for his team to escape but he himself stayed behind in the house to protect the raided money. A true leader leads from the front.

Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.
– Harold S. Geneen

4. Don’t lose hope:

When Ajay couldn’t locate the black money after trying many times, he felt a little disappointed but he didn’t give up, he kept on trying and finally, he succeeded in locating the black money. In the end, he sent his team out of Tauji’s house to a safe location but he himself stayed there to collect evidence of the black money he had found. He found out that there were more than 1000 people ready to kill him. So he locked himself in that room and waited for his demise but at the end moment, the police team showed up and rescued him. After facing so many hardships, Ajay was successful in his mission. It’s the same with life, no matter how bad the situation looks; don’t lose hope.

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is to try just one more time.”
– Thomas Edison
