Steve Jobs’ philosophy of life (Apple’s co-founder)

Introduction

Steve Jobs was the Founder of Apple and also it’s CEO for many years. Jobs was lucky because he found what he wanted to do; early in his life. Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs started Apple in Jobs’ parents’ garage when he was only 20 years old. They worked really hard and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of them in a garage into a $2 Billion dollar company with over 4000 employees.

Jobs had turned 30. He had just created his finest creation; ‘The Macintosh’ and then he got fired.

How can someone be fired from his own company?

Let me tell you how. As Apple grew; Steve hired some talented people to run the company with him. He hired the then CEO of PepsiJohn Sculley to market his company. For the first few years, all the things went well. Then there arose some differences between the visions of John and Steve. The Board of Directors of Apple sided with John. So at 30; Steve Jobs was fired from Apple; the company he started.

After getting fired from AppleSteve got depressed as he didn’t know what to do with his life.

After some time he realized that he still loved what he did and decided to start over again. Steve soon realized that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything.

He started a company named NEXT and another company named PIXARPIXAR went on to create the world’s first animated movie: TOY STORY.

If you live each day as if it was your last, SOMEDAY you will most certainly BE RIGHT

STEVE JOBS’ RETURN TO APPLE

In 1997 in an interesting turn of events APPLE bought NEXT and Steve Jobs returned to Apple. In the most difficult times of his life; Steve didn’t stop and the only thing that kept Steve moving was that he loved what he did.

Under his guidance; Apple launched the iPhone in 2007. The iPhone was considered so revolutionary that Time Magazine named it ‘The Invention of the Decade.’ Since the iPhone’s release in 2007, Apple has secured more than 200 patents related to the iPhone’s technology and is the leading tech company in the world.

Today Apple is ranked No. ‘1’ on Fortune’s list of America’s most admired companies.

In October 2011, Jobs died due to pancreatic cancer, days before the launch of iPhone 4s. At the time of his death, Apple was worth around a phenomenal $325 Billion.

I look in the mirror every morning and ask myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer is ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Some problems Steve Jobs faced in his life:

  • He was an adopted child.
  • He was bullied at school.
  • He was a college drop out.
  • He didn’t have enough money to eat and pay his college fees.
  • He didn’t know how to code.
  • He was fired from Apple.

Despite all these problems he became one of the most successful innovators and pioneers of all time.

What’s your excuse?

Steve Jobs was a pioneer who listened to his heart and changed the world forever. You can do so too.
