STOP AND THINK

There are some basic needs in human life that needs to be fulfilled which are essential for our survival but somehow we have forgotten the difference between needs and our desires, ultimately these desires become needs which give birth to new desires thus putting us into a loop which cannot be broken.

STOP AND THINK

It’s very important in our lives to stop and reflect upon ourselves, where are we heading? What is our direction? And whether is it really our destination?

Generally in life, we are driven by our needs, circumstances, and responsibilities. But there comes a time where we should all stop and think. Usually, the aforesaid things drive us and we keep leading the way they intend us to but human beings are evolved beings therefore, they have the capacity to think what life is all about. Though we are facing challenging times right now it is also an opportunity to sit back and realise which we are unable to being mixed up with the hustle and bustle of life. In these challenging times, one thing can be realized that the only certainty of life is in its uncertainty, and when this is realized a question arises in mind what are the things we keep running after? And in turn, becoming the slaves of those things.

There are some basic needs in human life that need to be fulfilled which are essential for our survival but somehow we have forgotten the difference between needs and our desires, ultimately these desires become needs that give birth to new desires thus putting us into a loop which cannot be broken. One must remember that in order to move forward one must break the loop otherwise we will keep moving in circles, the loop is taking us away from our very core. Not only this loop further leads to exploitation of our own planet. The universe is vast, and in that there is our planet Earth, exploiting the place where one resides is somewhat very similar to ‘feeding on your own flesh.’ Yes, human beings are evolved in terms of Brain capacity and there is no doubt in that but when this increased capacity leads to exploitation then we simply need to understand that something is going wrong somewhere.

Being residents of this Planet we should respect the other species as well, there is nothing in this universe that is insignificant. Therefore, in these times we should thoroughly ponder on the concept of ‘Co-Existence’. Nature is nurturing but it also has its own way of balancing by many means because it has to sustain lives. Thereby it becomes essential that we pay heed to our mother nature. Let us all learn to co-exist, let’s learn to live in true harmony among ourselves and with nature. It’s sometimes important to stop and think.
